I’m working on all the passes required to integrate the book as it opens. The scene geometry isn’t extended far enough for the shadow matte in this version of the comp; I’ll fix that next.
I have a specular pass to get some changing reflections as the book opens. I also made an ID pass which I’m using as a mask to grade the cover of the book down as it turns away from the light. I’m surprised by how well that worked.
I have a ground reflection, ambient occlusion, and the fixed shadow matte ready to render. Those will be included in my next update.
